Bootham School are offering FREE workshops to pupils from across York. There is no entry level but we would like children to be able or interested in the subject they choose.
We are a friendly school who welcome the wider community in for fun and stimulating workshops.
Parents are welcome to remain on site if they wish.

Hanging button pictures using buttons and other crafty bits & embellishments.
Character Creations
Have you ever wanted to create your own storybook character? Come and use drama and art to explore your ideas.

Crack a Code: learn some code breaking techniques and break open the school safe to find that goodies are inside!
Masterchefs
Prepare, cook and eat your own savoury scones.
Fantastic Flying Machines
Children will explore how air resistance can be harnessed to create parachutes, helicopters and aeroplanes. They will look at how examples in the natural world have influenced inventors to create their own fantastic flying machines.
Engineering with sticks, sweets and imagination
Use your imagination and engineering skills to build structures such as towers and bridges, using a variety of materials, including sweets!
Art
Work with a specialist art teacher to extend your artistic skills, bring your own, individual flair to a new project.
Written in the Stars
Learn about the Greek legends of the constellations, then create your own constellations and the legends to go with them!
Beginners Sign Language
Come and learn the Olympic countries and food in sign language. Also, you will be able to have a whole conversation about yourself in sign language by the end of the session!
